Our wedding will be at Isis Oasis in Geyserville California, on Sunday August 21, 2005. There will be activities both Saturday and Sunday so feel free to arrive early and join in.

Wedding Timeline:

The weeks before the wedding

Visiting with the bride and groom, meeting the baby, joining in with preparation craziness. Open to all!

Saturday, August 13th

Open House at Cyndi's and Michael's house in Petaluma. 5-7pm.

Saturday, August 20th

Morning:

9:30am: Synagogue services at B'nai Israel (740 Western Avenue, Petaluma, (707) 762-0340) for those that want to join Michael (open to all)

Afternoon:

Any time after noon: Check in at Isis Oasis (for those staying there)
Feel free to hang out with us, swim, or wander the area as you wish.

Evening:

6pm: Mikvah at Isis Oasis's swimming pool (by Lodge) - the bride's ritual dunking in the pool - women only, bathing suit/clothing optional (open to all female guests of any age)
7pm: Wedding rehearsal (for members of the wedding party, including family members with a role to play in the wedding). Meet under the big tree at Isis Oasis (next to dining pavilion).
7:30pm: Pool Party/Rehearsal Dinner/BBQ - Don't forget your bathing suit! Meet at the Isis Oasis swimming pool (by the Lodge). There is a pool, spa, and sauna. We'll BBQ veggie and non-veggie options and spend some informal time together the night before the wedding madness. RSVPs by Friday morning are useful so we know how much food to bring, but not essential. If you can, bring your own swim towel, but we'll have a few extras. (open to all guests, not just members of the wedding party).

Sunday, August 21st

Morning: Wedding preparation
2pm: Guests gather at the Bride's and Groom's tables
2:30: We join at the Bride's table for the Ketubah signing and the bedeken (veiling of the bride).
3-4: Ceremony.
4-4:30: Bride and Groom go off to Yichad (seclusion).
4-5: Hor d'oevers and drinks for guests, with Bride and Groom joining in halfway through.
5: Blessing over the wedding challah, the dinner begins.
5-6:30: Dinner buffet.
5:30-6:30 (or thereabouts): Wedding entertainment. As is traditional, guests get up to toast, roast, sing, dance, juggle, or do anything they please to entertain.
6:30-8:30: Dancing with a DJ. Interrupted halfway through (during the DJ's break) by cake and champagne.
8:30 or 9: The celebration officially ends.
9 until we get too tired: Unofficial partying for those who want to keep going.

Monday, August 22nd

Noon or early afternoon: We check out of Isis Oasis and head back to Petaluma.

Visiting time at chez Norwitz.
